The next big event at the Vintage Radio & Communications Museum is coming up very shortly. Imaginex, a non-profit theater company, will be putting on a production of “The Shadow” and “The Return of Sherlock Holmes” on May 10th at 4 pm in our event center.
In the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s, families across America would gather around their radios and listen to world news, weather, sports, and entertainment. Radio entertainment came in many forms, but among the most popular were the many weekly dramatizations of famous works of fiction, and newly created serials.
The Imaginex players will bring this era back to life with a live reenactment of these popular shows. Even though admission is free, they are doing this as a benefit for the museum so free will donations are encouraged by those who attend.
The museum is at 115 Pierson Lane in Windsor, CT. You can call the museum at 860-683-2903, or go to our Facebook site at vrcmct for more information.
