Crystal Radio Classes

Looking for a great activity with your Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Girl Scout, or homeschooler group? Look no further than a crystal set building class taught by the volunteers of the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut.

All your youngster needs to do is bring an empty toilet paper roll and we'll supply the rest of the materials and in a short while they will have a working radio that runs without batteries or electricity. Along the way they'll learn a little about how radios work and will bond with you, their parent or guardian. For larger groups, we can even come to your location to hold the classes.
