Welcome to the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut!

Can you imagine your world without communications? No television. No radio. No computers. Civilization as we know it would be completely different than it is today. At the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut, we show our visitors the history of electronic communications and let them experience the evolution first-hand.

Tune radios over 80 years old... talk over candlestick telephones like your grandparents used... send a message in Morse Code... crank a phonograph and listen to 100-year-old records... see what television was like when the only color choices were black and white. Learn about the telegraph, telephone, mechanical sound recording, wireless telegraphy, radio and television, and the seeds of computers, satellite communications and the Internet. It's all here at the museum.

Our volunteers are happy to give personal tours or you can wander at your leisure. We also offer classes in radio repair and crystal radio construction (especially good for scout troups!).

If you are a hobbyist, we offer the sale of vintage radio and other equipment on eBay, as well as thousands of new and used vacuum tubes and schematics from the Rider's and Sam's series

The museum is also home to the DeGeorge Memorial recording studio for music and vocal recordings and for transcriptions of vintage sound recordings to modern digital format. Not to mention the Vintage Radio and Communications HAM Club with working W1VCM station.

We invite you to explore our website, learn about our displays and unique history, take a virtual tour, and learn how you can come visit us or become a supporting member today
